A: No we are not a trade union for two simple reasons. Like most of our members we could never strike, leaving the most vulnerable in society without support doesn’t sit right with us either. Second of all the only politics we are interested in are those that impact social care workers and those they support. What we are is a membership that with enough numbers can challenge goverments as a collective voice, whilst making work and general life better for our members.
A: a lot of companies when it comes to tax refunds will promise the earth, and deliver…well a back garden. We call a spade a spade, tax varies based on several factors and it would be impossible to give a blanket answer some will get back a little some a lot contact us to find out more.
A: A medium caffe latte at a certain mermaid branded coffee chain costs £4.95 (price correct 11 February 2025) we charge less and that’s before the tax refund kicks in.
A: Bringing a member’s representative to the meeting is like bringing a lawyer to a courtroom (by this point we’ve already consulted our employment lawyers) – they’re there to make
